Terms and conditions of sale
Article 1 — Purpose
These terms and conditions of sale govern the sale of Colette Demay chocolates and related products through the website colettedemay.com.

Article 3 — Products
The products offered for sale are described as accurately as possible. Product photographs are not contractually binding.
Article 4 — Prices
Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of VAT. The applicable VAT rate is the one in force on the day of the order. Shipping costs are displayed before the order is confirmed.
Article 5 — Orders
Any confirmed order constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. A confirmation e-mail is sent for every order.
Article 6 — Payment
Payment is made online by bank card via Shopify Payments, or via PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Shop Pay. Your account is debited when the order is confirmed.
Article 7 — Delivery
We deliver to mainland France and the European Union, by carrier, in protective packaging. Details are set out in our shipping policy. Free delivery in mainland France on orders of €80 or more. In accordance with Article L216-1 of the French Consumer Code, delivery takes place no later than thirty (30) days after the order is confirmed.
Article 8 — Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article L221-28 4° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, which is the case for our chocolates. If a product is damaged or non-compliant, contact us within 48 hours at contact@colettedemay.com: we will offer a replacement or a refund.
Article 9 — Legal guarantees
All our products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).
Article 10 — Storage
Our chocolates keep best in a cool, dry place, away from light and odours. Ideal temperature: 16–18 °C. Best-before date shown on the packaging.

Article 12 — Consumer mediation
In accordance with Articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, customers may refer any dispute left unresolved by our customer service to a consumer mediator, free of charge. Appointed mediator: CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France — www.cm2c.net — contact@cm2c.net. The mediator may only be contacted after a prior written complaint to our customer service has remained unresolved. Customers may also use the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Article 13 — Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by French law. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts.
